What would you try if you knew you would succeed? If you knew you would make it, what dream would you follow? Imagine a scenario where your success is guaranteed. Would you write that book, start that business, or perhaps invent something revolutionary? Now, reality might not promise a 100% success rate, maybe not even 50%, but consider this:

One thing that guarantees a 100% failure rate is not even trying.

My favorite filmmaker Kevin Smith once said, "In the face of such hopelessness as our eventual, unavoidable death, there is little sense in not at least trying to accomplish all of your wildest dreams in life." This resonates deeply, especially in our community where ADHD often paints a complex landscape of challenges and unpredictability. Yet empowerment can come from this perspective — if the ultimate outcome of life is so certain, why not chase every dream, regardless of the outcome?

Our ADHD might make us feel like the odds are stacked against us more often than not. We face unique challenges that can sometimes skew our perception of risk and reward. But what if we viewed our aspirations through a lens of possibility rather than limitation? What if we chose to focus on the chance of succeeding rather than the certainty of failure by not trying?

This week, I encourage you to reflect on this question and identify one dream or goal you've held back from pursuing. What's one step you can take towards it, however small? Each step forward is a step towards a life that's more aligned with your deepest aspirations.

Remember, it's not about the guarantee of success but about the courage to embrace the possibility of it. Let's not let our ADHD define our limits but help us to see the endless possibilities. Dare to dream big, act boldly, and who knows? You might just surprise yourself with what you can achieve.

Thanks as always for reading,
